Job Fair organized by Career Development and Placement Cell on 5th February 2019.







Asmita College of Arts and Commerce for women, Career Development and Placement Cell organized a Job Fair on 5th February, 2019 for all Third year students and pass out students of College, to make the placement services available  for them after graduation.
An inaugural ceremony was started at 10 am by the honourable Supervisor and HOD-Commerce  of Asmita College of Arts and Commerce for Women, Prof. Neha Dalvi by a welcome speech for Team lease learning Services -YES Centre an organizing company.
YES Centre (Youth Employability Centre) has been started in association with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) & Maharashtra State Skill Development Society (MSSDS), where MSSDS is providing resource support for this program and its implementation partner is Team Lease Education Foundation. The USP of this program is that the entire service offered by YES Centre is free of cost.
The event was organized by associating with Team lease learning Services -YES (Youth Employability Services Centre). The idea behind organizing this event was to provide students an experience of facing interviews and to facilitate job opportunities to them within campus to help them in achieving their career aspirations.
This mega job-fair has been attended by reputed companies from different sectors offering multiple Job-offers to their prospective employees in various domains. Various levels of job opening were provided for students through this job fair. The details of the name of companies and the posts offered were as following:

Career Fair 

Asmita College of Arts and Commerce for women, Career Development and Placement Cell organized a Career Fair on 28th Jan, 2016 for all students of College, to make them aware about various career opportunities available for them after graduation.

An inaugural ceremony was started at 9am by the honourable Principal of Asmita College of Arts, Commerce and Science for Women, Dr. H. S. Gorge by cutting the ribbon.

It was a detailed career fest occupied by the distinguished universities and institutions, such as expertise from Bombay Stock Exchange, LTA School of Beauty, Aptech Computer Education, Arena Animations, Panjab & Maharashtra Bank, etc. to provide quality career alternatives to students.

Career Development and Placement Cell Events - 2015-16


1)    On 29th June, 2015 an informative session was organized by Miles Education. The resource person highlighted on course CMA (Certified Management Accountant ) which is equivalent to ICWA. 67 students of  T.Y.B.Com attended this session.

1)    On 22nd August,2015 a seminar was organized by GIA on Careers in Gems and Jewellery Designing. The seminar was organized to create awareness about this industry and the alternative career options this industry offers. 133 students of T.Y.B.Com attended this session.


2)    On 27th August 2015 Campus interview was organized for the placement in coordination with MDC group of Companies for the Post of International Marketing Executive and Sourcing  Executive. 38 students of T.Y.B.Com and T.Y.B.A. ( including X students ) faced the interview. Out of these 3 students were shortlisted for the post of Sourcing Executive and send them for final interview round of MDC group of Companies Office. From those students, one student was selected by the said company and appointed her as Saucing Executive form 5th September 2015 with annual CTC 1,15,160/-


3)    On 2nd December 2015, an informative session was organized by TimesPro to make students aware of employment opportunities available with Kotak Securities. 86 students of T.Y.B.Com attended this session. 


4)    On 14th December 2015, a workshop was organized by The Institute of Computer Accounts ( ICA ). The presenter provides guidance about career related to computerized accounting.


5)    Career Development and Placement Cell organized a Career fair on 28th Jan 2016 for all students of College, to make them aware of various career opportunities available for them after graduation. The event was organized by associating with Energia Wellbeing. The idea behind organizing this event was to enlighten the students about various new age career opportunities and to help them in defining and achieving their career aspirations.  It was a detailed career fest occupied by the distinguished universities and institutions, such expertise from Bombay Stock Exchange, LTA School of Beauty, Aptech Computer Education, Arena Animations, Punjab & Maharashtra Bank, etc. to provide quality career alternatives to students.

6)    On 2nd Feb 2016, Campus interviews were organized for the placement in coordination with ICFAI Distance Learning Vertical for the post of  Marketing  Executive. 69 students of  T.Y.B.Com attended the same. But no candidate was selected by the organizing institution.


7)    On 28th March 2016, the session was conducted by Bankedge on Job opportunities in AXIS Bank and Yes Bank for Back End Work. Demo Aptitude Test was conducted by Bankedge to make students familiar with examination pattern of banking exams. 59 students of T.Y.B.Com attended the same.

Career Development and Placement Cell Events - 2016-17


1) On 30th July 2016,  Campus interview was organized for the placement in coordination with Aarambh Recruitment and Training  Institute  (As suggested by UOM ) for Tata Business Support system ( Tata Group of Companies ). 41 Students attended the same.


2) On 12th August 2016, a seminar was organized by Brightwayz to provide information about basic etiquettes, preparation of interview, ways to improve corporate affairs, use of various job portals, etc. In addition, the resource person provided information regarding various career opportunities available in front of  T.Y. students. 95 students of T.Y.B.Com and T.Y.B.A. attended the same



3)    On 3rd Feb 2017, a seminar was organized by Sankalp  Association. The seminar was on Preparation for Competitive, Government and Banking Examinations. Students were unlighted through this seminar. Students feedback was extremely positive for this seminar. 108 students of first-year attended the same.

1) On 19th August 2017, a Seminar on "Campus to Corporate" was organized by Brightwayz to provide information about basic etiquettes, preparation of interview, ways to improve corporate affairs, use of various job portals, etc. In addition, the resource person provided information regarding various career opportunities available in front of  T.Y. students. 110  students of T.Y.B.Com and T.Y.B.A attended the same.


2) Career Development and Placement Cell organized a Job Fair on 8th December 2017, for all Third-year students and pass out students of College, to make the placement services available for them after graduation in association with Team lease learning Services -YES Centre. 3) On 31st Jan 2018, a Guidance lecture on MPSC/UPSC and GEE was organized was organized in association with Centre for Talent Search and Excellence.  The lecture was scheduled from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm with a short break in between. The resource person provided detail information about GEE examination, MPSC and UPSC openings and how to prepare for these examinations.
